Montreal, December 22, 2011 – The TVA Group has announced an agreement through which the TVA Group will sell its 50% interest in the “Mystery TV” specialty channel and its 51% interest in “The Cave” specialty channel to Shaw Media.
A licence transfer request – which is subject to approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) – was submitted earlier last week. Pending CRTC approval, the proposed transaction could be finalized in the spring of 2012.
