Season 3 of La Voix Surpasses Its Own Historic Heights

Montreal, April 14, 2015 – A phenomenal Season 3 of La Voix came to a close last Sunday with the crowning of new champion Kevin Bazinet in front of 2,715,000 viewers on the TVA Network. After establishing itself as a must-see TV event for the past 13 Sundays, La Voix III continued to break its own viewing records, thus confirming the attachment of Quebec audiences towards the show and its local talent.

A Genuine TV Juggernaut
Throughout the season, Quebec’s greatest musical adventure generated its most impressive audience results ever, attracting an average of 2,787,000 viewers and scoring a market share of 59%. The highest average audience was close to 3,000,000 (2,989,000)3, and the show’s most-watched minute ever reached a new, breathtaking peak of 3,516,000 viewers4. La Voix III also broke the 60%5 market-share barrier on 8 separate occasions, including the January 18 broadcast, which scored a 64.7% share6.

Social Networks
The excitement also spilled over to social networks, generating over 1 million Facebook and Twitter interactions7. Over 375,000 people now follow La Voix on social media. The hashtag #LaVoixTVA regularly trended #1 in Canada, and it even climbed to #2 worldwide on one occasion.

The La Voix website performed just as well, registering over 4.4 million video views (performances, interviews by Valérie Chevalier, La Voix et la guitare, etc.) for a total of 135,000 video content hours viewed during the season. In addition to these record-breaking numbers, it’s worth noting that the number of page-views at lavoix.ca doubled compared to last season.

Twitter Periscope and Mirror: Two Firsts in Quebec
Thanks to an official partnership agreement signed recently by TVA Group and Twitter Canada, fans of La Voix were treated to two firsts in Quebec. The Twitter Periscope app opened a new window to La Voix fever on social media, giving numerous fans an opportunity to see the very first interview with newly crowned winner Kevin just minutes after his victory. Twitter followers also got to experience Twitter Mirror, which snapped all of the contestants and artists throughout the evening.

After this phenomenal success, La Voix returns next January for a 4th season!
